The glorious colour of Pugin's Gothic panelling in the House of Commons was one of the inspirations for this design. The wood must be carefully selected for character and quality. Knots, burl and natural splits and shakes are sought after features that simply do not exist in American grown timber.
Flexibility is built in with a mobile preparation block
The key elements for a practical kitchen are incorporated here, using individual pieces of furniture, still with ‘room to breathe’. Proof, if it were needed, that a beautiful working kitchen can be created while resisting the temptation to fill every inch of the room with cabinetry.
