Extra thick 32mm (1 1/4") wooden doors
Most kitchens have 18mm (3/4") thick doors, the better ones 25mm
(1"). All our furniture incorporates 32mm (1 1/4") thick doors to
reduce the possibility of warping.
Solid wood doorframes
We use solid wood for all our doorframes, rather than the more commonly
used MDF. This adds to the structural strength of our furniture and greatly
reduces the possibility of a doorframe splitting around high stress points,
such as the hinges.
Recessed brass butt hinges
Solid brass butt hinges are recessed not just into the door, as with many
of the perceived high quality manufacturers, but also into the frame. This not
only helps to prevent the door from dropping with time, but also provides a
snug fit between the door and frame.
Extra thick 18mm (3/4") drawer boxes
Our drawer boxes are made from 18mm (3/4") thick dovetail jointed wood
for strength. The latest bearing assisted runner technology means that not
only can the drawers be fully extended, but also the drawers can be opened and
closed with the minimum of effort. Special easy release clips allow for easy
drawer removal.
Choice of cabinets including solid wood
We offer a choice of cabinets including solid wood block board with an oak
veneer. Cabinets made out of this material are extremely strong and less
likely to warp than cabinets made from single pieces of timber.
